we went to vivocity on monday. pigged out at the newly opened marche located at the rooftop. it's sucha sweet and beautiful place. everybody must go!

after the heartening lunch, we watched Norbit (because the timings for letters from iwo jima and dreamgirls were too late). contrary to what the trailer showed, i thought the movie was not as junky as it seemed. and eddie murphy was fantastic; he took on 3 roles! of norbit, that fat lady who was norbit's wife, and norbit's chinese orphanage father. coooooool. the flick was rather touching ;)

having headache. so many work to do and so little time.

blogger went crazy the other day when i updated my last post. i cant view that entry, and the pictures uploaded became erroneous afterwards. so if you wanna see the photos you can go to mich's or ade's blog :)
sent mich off last thursday; ride to changi airport courtesy of wenli and dinner at fish&co. courtesy of mich's dad. sweet people. happy that mich is off to brisbane to continue with her degree because it means that she's nearer to completing her education over there. means that she can stay in singapore for good after completion. well unless she decides to work and live in australia with her yet-to-be-found ang moh boyfriend HAHA. and i hate it when she's in brisbane because her net connection is fishball.

loadsa assignments and projects! must catch up with my revision and readings too. a lot of quizzes coming up after the recess week. but we're better than the nus people because they're having their recess this week together with the cny hols and our recess week is their mid-term exams week. okay they're quite poor thing because i heard that some of them are not doing their cny visiting in order to cram for the exams.
haha i suddenly recall what my IT tutor was saying about nus business school.

anyway, reub, merj, willy and fel came to my house yesterday for cny visiting! including my brothers' friends. my eldest bro's friends were making such a big din playing black jack. he and his other friend were bankers and won quite a lot of moolah. so we kids (referring to my friends and i) were just in one corner playing mahjong haha. it was quite amusing to see indians playing mahjong lah, but reub was quite a fast learner that he even won 2 games! after that we played daidee, snap then followed by heart atteack. omg all the super childish games but we had helluva fun. smacking hands. haaaaaaa.
it has been a while since i mug like kerazee.

HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!!!

went back to malaysia last saturday morning as like we did every year. different thing this year was that my eldest bro's girlfriend came with us! perfect for mahjong.
there were fireworks as the clock struck twelve and the sky became an instant colour of rainbow, accompanied by auditory 'pleasure' of loud booms and bangs. red crackers were lighted up as a symbolism of prosperity and harmony (i think). we had our fair share of playing with fire crackers and shooting crackers and whatever crackers too!

the first day of the lunar new year saw us playing mahjong for most part of my waking hours. i even got 5 tai once! hahaha shiok. my elder brother owed on RM53 (he had rotten luck the entire day). then some of my cousins came to visit. i was in my super cui home clothes haha.

our family is not on very good terms with my uncle's (my mom's younger brother) family due to some very dumb misunderstanding caused by my unc's wife (yes that woman in a stupid white oriental-looking furry top). yeps but whatever it is, we still hafta step into their house cuz my grandparents are living with them (not being treated very well some more). that woman is a supersuperSUPER stingy person when it comes to my unc's side's family cuz i bet she's not like that with her own singaporean family and relatives. ever since she got married to my unc, for every lunar new year she would give us ang bao RM2.00. 2 friggin' ringgit!!! not even S$1.00. and mind you, their family lives in a big bangalow in malaysia, has houses in singapore, unc graduated from nus chem engine and is working in chem industry now which can fetch quite an amount and wife opens a dont-know-do-what company so tell me, are they simply poor or just plain stingy? i know lah, the amount inside the ang bao is not important because its the thought that counts. as long as got give meaning got blessing already. but my mom and all my aunts are not as well-to-do as them yet they always give RM10 at the very least. even in singapore the market price is S$4!

alright enough about the RM2.00 issue. went to mich's house to bai nian yesterday evening! a shame that jiani cant make it cuz she gotta go her relative's house. we played black jack and in-between! "coerced" mich into gambling with us muahaha. once a year never mind ok michelle. manda's luck was super good. she's always so lucky when it comes to gambling! haha she won 20bucks and i won 5bucks at the end of the day. oh then since manda was winning so much, we attributed her good luck to the goodies that she ate like bak kwa. so at one point mich got "desperate" and started downing bak kwa too hahahaha. damn funny!

reached home around 11pm yesterday which was considered to be early, thanks to ade's dad dropping me off at my house's bus stop.
couldnt wake up for my financial mgt seminar this morning though haha. only went school around 11plus for assignment discussions.
needa do accounting tutorial later. boredom! sending dear mich off to brisbane tomorrow night. she better appreciate the send-off cuz im skipping my accounting make-up lecture for her!

lack of updates but i have my reasons. have been busy busy like a bumblebee. met up with xinhui and michie last week (or 2 weeks ago) at imm. had pepper lunch for dinner. then took loadsa lame photos with the $1 rides. so fun!

then had B4 5^th anniversary celebration on fourth feb, after the surfsweat event. so you can see that i looked quite tanned in the following pictures. no photoshop okay! anyhoo, we had sakae sushi for dinner! AS HAPPY AS A LARK. because i'm always jap-food-deprived whenever i go out wth reub. he hates japanese cuisine which i can never fathom why. sushi sashimi udon katsu are sooooo deli! then we went to topshop cuz adeho wanna buy some top from there (doh). cam-whored outside the fitting rooms haha. by the way if you're wondering, B4 stands for Banana 4, a totally COOL name we came up with when we were in secondary 3. i think that was the F4 era? hahaha. i love B4 :D

first day of february! gooooood gracious me it's already the second month of 2oo7 and i haven't been doing much stuff.
took my first ever driving test yesterday and i failedFAILEDFAILED! was super sad but i reckoned i just wasn't confident enough. plus when jacqueline had hers last week and she said she got an indian tester who was simply crap (za's instructor warned too), i prayed hard that i won't get him but the moment the ballot was done and i saw my tester's name being silva, among all the wong tan cheng teo, i knew i was done. 20% of my confidence gone man! how pathetic of me. surprisingly i did pretty well in the circuit considering that i'd only entered it twice before my test, so i thought i could pass but when i got to the main road, i just gan jiong lah! damn. not zai enough. next time i must zai zai already. and i won't tell anybody when's my next TP test cuz i know i'm going to be jinxed again! hahaha. i took auto some more, so pai seh. anyway my eldest brother laughed at me. and chua baozeng. whatever ah!

which makes me realise that i do take failures hardly. everybody wants to be a winner and nobody wants to be a loser, but it is the loser who makes the winner a winner. so i must learn that failures are not fatal, they are just part and parcel of life. i will have the chance to be a winner next time. the difficult thing is to face it. how do you actually pick yourself up? how do you ensure that you will not fail again? how do you build up your confidence again? how do you face those who held such high hopes for you? how do you ever not lose heart again in whatever you do? these are the questions i constantly probe myself over and over all the time whenever i fail. then i gotta go through the ritual again, of consoling myself that it's okay, everybody fails once in a while, nobody's gonna blame you, nobody's gonna laugh or look down on you, everybody understands, just don't commit the same mistake again etc. talk is easy, but actions are hard to be carried out accordingly like how you want it to be. sighs. cannot be too harsh with myself. i hate the way i'm accepting defeats.

man, i'm such a whiner. just one driving test and i can ramble on for forever. the world's not coming to an end yet!

on a different note, school's been cool. love psychology! so interesting and the tutorials are the best ever! we did dream analysis and tested our short-term memory on monday's lesson. i always thought my memory was quite good (used to do lots of bio-recitation) but then i couldn't really remember much when she told us to write out the things she had said. damn! my memory's ailing, must've been because i haven't been studying much lately haha. alright don't make me guilty now i shall go off to study already in case mister reuben starts NAGGING at me again.
